Starship Adventure booklist suggestions

The theme for this year's MA Statewide Library Summer Reading Program is Starship Adventure @ Your Library. One of our on-going programs here in Upton will include reading any book about space and creating a project to display at the end-of-summer Art Exhibit!

Baby Sign Language Class

BabySigns with Paula Flaherty Bolotin will be held at the Upton Town Library during the month of June.

For more info about the class, visit Paula's website here: http://www.littleonescansign.com

Paula received funding through the Upton Cultural Council to provide a 4-week BabySigns class for Upton residents and their babies (appropriate for ages birth to 3yrs) so the class is FREE! We are requesting pre-registration, due to our limited space, and hope that families who sign up will commit to attending all 4 sessions. The class will be held on the 4 Wednesday mornings in June, at 10:30am in the Library. Please feel free to contact me with any questions!

Come meet Tillie on May 14th!

Who is Tillie, you ask?

Tillie is a real live hen who stars in her very own picture book, Tillie Lays an Egg. Tillie, along with her owner, Terry Golson, the author of the book, will be visiting the Upton Town Hall on Thursday, May 14th at 2:30. (This special author appearance will be held, instead of our regularly-scheduled afternoon storytime session.)

Copies of Tillie Lays an Egg are currently available for purchase at Kaleidoscope Books, Cards & Gifts and can be brought to this event for Terry to sign. Copies will also be availble to purchase at the event. Following the storytime and booksigning, Terry has offered to stay a while longer to meet with members of the Upton 4-H Club, along with anyone else who may be interested in learning more about keeping backyard chickens!
This event is sponsored by a grant from the Circle of Friends Community Partnership for Children. Admission is Free!
